[Seasonal fruit] Peach
Peaches are the taste of early summer.
Peaches, which are rich in dietary fiber, potassium, and catechin, are expected to be effective in preventing aging.
It has been introduced to Japan since ancient times, and peach seeds have been found in ruins from the Yayoi period.
It seems that the fruit used to be smaller than it is today, but it is believed that breed improvement has made the fruit full of juice and has a melting texture as it is today.
However, the weak point of peaches is that they do not keep well.
They are very delicate and will deteriorate quickly if not handled with care. Please handle it gently.
Unripe peaches should be allowed to ripen at room temperature.
If it is chilled too much, it loses its sweetness, so after it is fully ripened, it is best eaten after it has been slightly cooled.
